| | What do you think about having a "casino night" for junior high students? | | I was upset the other day when I read in my daughters' school newsletter that junior high students will be receiving invitations to a Mardi Gras casino party soon. My girls attend a Catholic school, so I couldn't believe they would be encouraging gambling. I am not Catholic, I'm United Methodist, and gambling is frowned upon by my church. When I asked my husband(he's Catholic) what he thought, he said it isn't any different than having a carnival at the church, or playing bingo (which my church doesn't condone either.) I feel very uncomfortable with it. Is it a common thing for churches to have casino nights and the like? I had never heard of this before. Are my feeling unfounded? | |

| | Does anyone watch the tv series "The Office"? | | I love this show. I have seen every episode & even re-watched some of them as well. The character Michael Scott(the boss) & his friend Dwight are complete idiots LOL. Goodness I laugh so hard when I watch this show that my sides hurt LOL. In the last episode Michael asked every1 to fill out index cards with the name of a woman they would set him up with. One of the cards said Wendy & had a phone number, so he called & asked to speak to Wendy. Well it turned out to be the fastfood resturant Wendy's so he ended the call with his order for lunch LMBO. OMG it was so funny. Does anyone else watch this series & find it as funny as I do? If so what is your favorite episode? Scene? | |
