| | How is/ was your Christmas party at work this year? | | Our department had our Christmas party yesterday (and the entire company will have it today). It was one that we prepared for. There were so many delicious food. From appetizers to main dishes to the desserts! My co-workers brought their husband/ wife and their children. The children had so much fun because of the games and the prizes. I am sure that they will enjoy today's company's Christmas party as there will be more games and more prizes. I worked in a Japanese firm.And today, our manager(Japanese), announced that we have no christmas party this year.[em]shocked[/em][em]sad[/em].I have been here for 6 years and today is the only year that the company does not celebrate Christmas.Well only after our boss was put in chair, did it ever happen. This is so weird and we are very unhappy about it.[em]angry[/em]

| | No Office Christmas Party is complete without.................. | | ...........at least four drunken truck drivers and a hypnotist.Well it has been a week and the pictures in my head are finally tame enough to no longer give me nightmares..........or fits of laughter so intense I end up coughing my lungs up.A week ago today I attended my husbands office christmas party. The bosses really cheaped out with no decorations or tree or table centerpieces and the food was only so so. I guess being in the trucking industry they figured none of their employees or wives were sophisticated enough to care....and me in my ankle length faux mink coat too! The nerve!Anyway,after dinner a hypnotist put on a show. The participants all came from the audience of course, and I gotta tell you, some truck drivers have incredible imaginations. According to the hypnotist, it is the imagination that takes over during the hypnotic state and he played that up to the max.But the climax to the show was putting the men through pregnancy and child birth. Stage by stage, labour pain by labour pain, those macho truckers were reduced to screaming meemies, legs outstretched, hands fisted and heads thrown back in an agony of effort trying to expell that 'baby' from... | |

| | people got drunk at annual Christmas party | | I didn't participate my work's annual Christmas party though, but my other co - workers did. They report what was going on when we were back to work, you know how ladies like to gossip. I overheard that one guy was getting too drunk, and shouting and yelling in the party. What an embarrassed moment for him. Although it is a after work party, you have to behave yourself in front of the people you work with. I just couldn't get myself that drunk in a party. | Do you attend Christmas party even you hate your company? | | We all know that there are no perfect employer and employee. I have to admit from the start I hate my company although I have the guts to stay there for 5 years. Its so hard to find jobs now that is why I stayed. Christmas is approaching of course everyone of us will have a party to attend to. We have Christmas party and I am thinking of attending it. I decided to attend, because I have thoughts that not all of the company today have a ready Christmas party for their employee, I was blessed that our company will have. As of situation of the Philippines now, not all are celebrating Christmas but our company decided to celebrate it. Do you know why I hate attending, about the awards. Every year there is an award given to those people who are deserving to received it. Just 2007 I witness that the award committee was not evaluating the tally board seriously. I became a part of the evaluating committee that is why I hate the award session. During the award, it is always the same person winning it and when someone won an award and not the same person as last year you will see the faces of some expecting themselves to win unhappy and somewhat protesting discreetly. I think we're taking political correctness a bit overboard with this.. I just travelled through Islamic and Buddhist countries and it looks like they don't even consider the idea of changing to suit travellers..
