| ANOTHER Road Trrriiiiipppppppp! | | I'm off again...y'all, on another road trip. This one might not be nearly as fun since I can't take my "sis" with me and it's 10-12 hours depending on how many stops we have to make. But......[i][b]yea[/b][/i]...I'm going to Kansas to visit my niece and her family. My son and I head out early Sunday morning to meet up with my niece and caravan to Kansas. Neither my son or I, are used to that kind of drive so it should be quite interesting. We will be gone for about 2 weeks and head back sometime the last week of this month. Wish me luck on THAT journey![em]cry[/em]I'll miss y'all, as I'm sure I won't get the same time online as I do at home. My niece is going to have us running to horse camp and no telling what else she has on the agenda. I know that she, my great niece and I have a "Girls Night slumber party" scheduled for one of the nights. I've never been a night owl so I'm hoping they don't coat my hair with honey when I nod off at about 10pm. heee I've heard it's good for the hair though.[em]blink[/em]So I have one more day of myLotting then off to Kansas, sans ruby slippers![em]sad[/em] Wonder if someone(a nameless... | |
| | Girls night in or girls night out? | | Since the recession started my friends and I spend many more good old girly nights in instead of going out for drinks or a meal. We just take it in turn to prepare a nice dinner and everyone brings a nibble or a drink with. It's actually good fun and reminds me of being a teenager.Do you prefer nights out or nights in? | Girls Night.:) | | Girls' night was a riot, as usual. Six of us took a private pole dancing class at a local fitness center. A couple of them mastered a few spins. Surprisingly enough I figure if I took both of my feet off the ground it would surely end in disaster. I survived a few spins and such but climbing that pole was out of the question. You have to have most of your skin exposed to stick to the pole. Our instructor told us that the "big-boned girls" can do amazing things because they have more surface the pole can stick to. We covered quite a bit in one hour: stripper stance, stripper walk, hip roll, snake, trace, booty clap, firemen spin, & a few other spins that have seemed to escape me right now. Once again, girls night didn't disappoint. There was minor concern for who's DNA we brought home from the poles, but that tiny detail aside it was a blast! So what do your girls nights consist of? I would definitely suggest doing a stripper class. I'm aching now, but it was a blast and we all plan on doing it again. | |

| Girls night tomorrow night! | | I am very excited for the release of the Sex and the City movie tomorrow. I rarely go out for girls's nights,but I am going to this with 5 friends. The SATC movie and cosmos! Yippee!
For fans of the show, are you excited for the movie? The show we wanted to go to is already sold out for tomorrow night so we bought tickets online for an earlier show!

I am going to take my sister and best friend and we are going to go see the movie and then go have a nice lunch or dinner. | | do any of you moms get a girls night out? | | my son is almost done with kindergarten and i remained really good friends with 8 of the moms from preschool so we all get together one night per month and the hubbies stay home with the kids while we go out to eat and have a few drinks and laughs. it is a great outlet for all of us. we meet for coffee one morning a week too. | |

| Girls night out | | Last night was the best girls Night Out I have been on in a long time. Three of us high school friends reconnected at our 25th reunion. Last night we had a sleepover. It was a blast! We stayed at one of the friends lake house. We ate pizza and wings, chips and dip and smores. We had a fire. We confided in each other about things going on in our lives. We had an awesome drink called Hop, Skip and go Naked. We laughed and laughed and laughed. We stayed up till 3am and all had to be home by 10am back to being moms again. I would definitely recommend a girls Night Out like this to everyone:)ld definitely suggest doing a stripper class. I'm aching now, but it was a blast and we all plan on doing it again. | |
