| halloween party! | | my sister had a bon fire halloween party last night. my parents watched all our kids (was only 3) so we could have a kid free night. that kind of thing doesnt happen in our family that much so it was cool. we had a good time. about half the people dressed up. i was a witch. didnt have to push too hard to find all the stuff. most the clothes i wore were part of my every day outfits and the kid had a witch hat from a couple years ago. hehe cost free costume. we had fun. the times we get to hang out like that are so few and far in between anymore. do any of you have costume parties to go to? you gonna dress for halloween? | |

| Any tips for Halloween Party? | | Hi, my friends!
I was invited by an American teacher to join their Halloween party and i knew little about this mysterious festival.Since i'm a Chinese i thought i might made some cultural mistakes.
Mainly i have 3 questions
1. Must i wear a costume or something or a mask?
2. I don't if i need to bring some little gifts there or not.
3. Are there any taboos for Halloween?
These three questions are all that i can come up with at the moment, other suggestions are also welcomed!

| | Halloween Party Preparations | | Halloween is fast approaching us.
The Springbrook Nature Center where I walk often has a huge party for the families near Halloween. This Sunday as my wife and I walked the trails they also had the pumpkin carving starting. This photo is the trail to the carving station. I tried to get my wife to go carve a few pumpkins but she didn't want to. Anyhow they had 4 pallets with huge boxes on them full of pumpkins. I am guessing around 500 total pumpkins. People come and carve these for free then these are set on the trails for the day of the family party. They are lit and look awesome. They have various entertainmenmt all along the trails, they have lights on some trails as well, music by a DJ, dancing, food stands, bonfires and all sortrs of other family entertainment. Indoors they also have a mildly scary set upo to walk through. Are you taking your kids to any party this Halloween?I am planning on taking my grandsons this year again. They had a blast last year at it.

| Our PetSmart's Halloween Party is October 21st. People dress their dogs and cats | | up, parade them around and compete for prizes. Would your dog or cat put up with being dressed up? It was fun last year. Glad I wasn't a judge. They all looked adorable to me. After the parading around, they had treats for the dogs and cats and I think some kool-aid for the people. I loved the cat that was a cheese and the owner was a mouse. The huge cat in a baby stroller dressed as a baby was a hoot, too. The tiny dog whose Pet Mom made him an alligator costume was terrific. Like I said, they were all terrific, but those three stand out in my mind. Some pet parents weren't very good sports and complained that they didn't win and should have. But most just had a good time. I think the most talented was the little Chiwawa, Chijuajua ( I have no idea how to spell that little Mexican dog name). He had a little Mexican Hat and they had him do a Little Dance, after they took off the hat, near the hat. I don't remember much else from Last Year's Party. Have you ever gone to a Pet Halloween Party? Would you bring your pet to one if you could? I can't. My cat is an only child. He thinks smaller than him, he's supposed to eat it and larger than him, he's supposed to beat it (up).... | |
| | Halloween Party | | Do you still have party during halloween celebration?Its been years since I joined a halloween party its too enjoyable, that you have to wear you own custume and the one with the most attracitve custume wins a great prize. That was when I was a kid, now people just go to the cemetary to light a candle, pray for their departed love ones, stay for a while and have some talks with family, relatives and friends and some were just stay home or have some vacation elsewhere.How about you, do you still have a halloween party outside or inside your households?
