Talk about the party you're planning! | | Kids party invited and than uninvited question | | Okay we have a neighbor boy that is always at our home to play with my kids. He has been in the same school and class with one of my children for the past three years. He has celebrated birthdays with us, some holidays so on. Well, today my kids looked outside and saw one of those inflatable jumpers in his yard and got all excited. We told them not to invite themselves over because they were not invited. So they stayed outside and played in the backyard. They ended up seeing quite a few classmates of theirs over there and were sad that they were not invited to his party. Later he asked his parents if they could go over and they did for a little while than were told they were uninvited from the party for no reason. They were hurt at that fact. The party is still going on and they don't even want to go out to the backyard now because they see what they are missing. How would you handle something like this? | |

| | Party game suggestions please - my son is four next week and is having a party | | All my sons nursery school friends are having plush bouncy castle parties a thalls and things, but being on an limited budget (would much rather spend £60 on his present rather than hire of bouncy castle and a venue) I have invited a few of his round round to the house. At that age it is impossible for them to keep still for musical statues so I will start with one ball pond ball per child and then take one away each time the music stops whoever has gets the last ball wins, will also do the standard pass the parcel but would like some new and novel ideas to make it fun for him and his friends please. | | Is condom an appropriate party giveaway? | | Hi!I have just received a call from my cousin in law and she was furious. She permitted her 13 year old daughter to attend her classmate's birthday party yesterday and her daughter brought home a party give away. The party give away was a small jewelry box (one that you get at craft stores) and inside it was 2 pieces of condoms in bright fun colors and it is flavored, it says bubblegum and cherry! In addition to that was a note saying "reserve this for your first time. have fun!" My cousin said all the parents who had their children attend that party was mad and they planned to file a formal complain against the parents of the birthday celebrant in the school. For appetizers..this time around...I put out chips and salsa...I made a bean dip....just a layer of refried beans, sour cream with taco seasoing, letuce, tomatoe and black olives. You can make tacos, or just do kid friendly appetizers....like pizza rolls, mozzarella sticks, veggie tray, bean dip, chips and dip and salsa.For some healthy alternatives you could try
rice cakes with cheese and other semi-healthy things on top
Fruit kebabs - 2-4 different types of fruit stuck on kebab sticksthats all I can think of at the moment! But yeah, try and have a few yummy healthy alternatives that will actually interest the kids... fruit kebabs always seem to be a fave. | |
| | A party for kids - but the adults have more fun | | I just want to ask if you have attended or you were able to celebrate a birthday party in some of Jollibee food chains?Because last November, during my nephew's second birthday, we celebrated at Jollibee Lucena. Of course, Jollibee the mascot was there. He even danced. The thing is, the party was supposedly for kids, but we adults had a blast and even pose with Jollibee.
