| People who save, save, save. | | I'm talking about hoarders. My mom and my husband's mom are both hoarders. My husband's mom was recently moved to a nursing home. It has taken months for my husband and his 2 brothers to go through all her stuff. Actually hubby and one brother. One of his brother's never left home and he is a hoarder also. My husband found bills for the last 10 years. (statements that had been paid), clothes that haven't been worn in years, his father razors, (his dad died 20 years ago) and so much more. Hubby cleaned out the pantry and threw lots of unopened food away including a bottle of ketchup that had turned black. Are you like this? We are not so bad because we move so often and that helps us from hoarding so much. Plus, I never want my kids to have to go through 40 or 50 years of my junk.
Oh my husband also found party decorations from 40 years ago. All this wouldn't be so bad if we could sell stuff on abay but everything I checked out on ebay wasn't selling. | |
| | Son's 3rd Birthday | | My son's third birthday party is going to be on June 9th. He is obsessed with Elmo. I bought his card last month cause I found an Elmo one and didn't know if they would still have it next month. I bought an Elmo cake pan - now I just hope that I can decorate it correctly LOL.
I was just looking at a party supply store website and there is plenty to do an Elmo themed party.Thing is I am cheap! I was thinking of getting some plates and such with Elmo and then plain red ones so I wouldn't have to spend as much.
Does anyone have any suggestions on how to make this a nice party but cheap? Do I need goody bags since there will only be one other child there under the age of 13 years?
Was there ever a theme party you did? If so what was it
and what did you do? | |
