| | What is the best birthday party celebration you had and at what age? | | My most memorable birthday party was when I celebrated my 25th Birthday. I am a big Hello Kitty fan so I decided to celebrate it at Sanrio Cafe. It was fun because my colleagues and friends attended and we were all wearing Hello Kitty party hats and name tags like we were kids. Most of the gifts I receive were Hello Kitty items. Although the celebration cost me an arm and a leg, I was very happy. | |
| | The Farmer's Got Me (hic) Drunk.............. | | Well the party's over, but the band is still playing in my head, so no yelling ok?
Thanks.
We got the truck out of the hole, got the hole filled in, and everyone was accounted for when it was all over..........Spunky made sure of that!
The party hats were a big hit and so was the hot chocolate, baked goods and of course the coffee.
The BRANDY however, was the hit of the day.
Here's why:
Every time someone cracked a joke at my expense, I had to down in one gulp a shot of brandy. The farmers insisted. It was their 'payment' for the use of their chains and tractors.
Frankly, it was just an excuse to see me drunk!
You need to understand that the ladies and gents (BIG HIC!) in my little town could drink Paul Bunyon under the table in 3 seconds flat.
I however am a lady! I know when to quit..............(Double Hic!)
So my fellow citizens have never seen me drunk.
Until today.
I may be small, I may even be shrinking, but in the right mood, I can hold more boooze than the local Beer Store.
So for the first hour, I hardly weaved or stumbled or bumbled at all.
Halfway into the second hour Spunky glued herself to my side, I'm sure because she could sense my rapidly...
| | How to fill a hole just to have a party........... | | It's simple.
Dig one.
Dump a truck in it.
Then get on the phone.
Beg, plead, cry, bribe, threaten.
Trust me, it works...........or it did for me.
Tomorrow the townsfolk will gather with baked goods, hot chocolate, one smart old guy with a few micky's up his sleeve, and I'll provide the coffee and brandy and party hats.
The dump truck I dumped is going to be liberated from the hole.
I have two farmers who have offered their services to chain the truck and drag it out of the hole with their tractors. They swear it will work as they've apparently had experience with similar probs in the muskeg that is the curse of Prairie springtime.
You gotta love a farmer! LOL
The price?
I have promised to be good natured about the jokes I will be the butt of until the next time I don't listen to my dog! LOL
What the hell. It's been a long hard winter and we all could use some laughter and a reason to party............What would YOU make do if you could in exchange for getting me out of this mess?

| | Barack Obama's Constitutional Right/ Do You Agree With This? | | Prosecutors for Obama hunting for 'lying ads'
'Truth Squad' using sheriffs, DAs to police bias against candidate
Posted: September 26, 2008Missouri prosecutor Bob McCullochA team of Obama-supporting prosecutors and sheriffs in Missouri is preparing to pursue legal challenges to any presidential campaign ads deemed to be false or misleading.KMOV-TV in St. Louis reports District Attorney Robert McCulloch, a past president of the National District Attorneys Association, said that whether the ads could be attributed to an opponent's campaign itself, or another organization, "If they're not going to tell the truth, somebody's got to step up and say, 'That's not the truth. This is the truth.'"The effort appeared to be part of a move by the Obama campaign to block advertisements to which it objects. The campaign also sent "threatening" letters to several news agencies in Pennsylvania and Ohio demanding they stop airing ads exposing Obama's gun stance, according to the National Rifle Association.(Story continues below) The NRA's Political Victory Fund condemned the attempt at censorship."Barack Obama and his campaign are terrified of the...

| | My great auntie gave me a pair of argyle socks for Christmas | | Why is it that on your birthday or at Christmas time or at some other event of our life that we always get that one really wierd gift from some distant quirky relative? Usually the price tag is still attached and its a gift that we don't need and will never use? Or we have a relative that is the height of all family stories for being eccentric in some way. An auntie that has 20 cats and sits them at the table with party hats or a cousin three times removed that collects used Windex bottles. Do you have any quirky relatives like that? | |
